Make the transition from breaststroke to front crawl – fun, stress-free small group course.

A fun and friendly 6-session small group course.

With pool sessions held at Canon Slade pool in Bolton where you will learn how to easily make the transition from breaststroke to swim an efficient, relaxed front crawl.

Sessions are suitable for adults of all ages and backgrounds swimming for fitness, fun or triathlon.

You don’t need to be super-fit or be able to swim lots of lengths! Our step-by-step approach will show you how to easily transition to front crawl with no stress and no pressure. To get the most out of the course you will need to be confident in the water and able to swim a little of any stroke, head up or head down and be happy in the deep end. If you are not comfortable putting your face in the water please contact Sarah before booking 07966 005558, it doesn’t mean you can’t do the course we just want to make sure it’s the right option for you.

The sessions start at 7pm and the course is limited to 6 swimmers in each group.

We’ll use video analysis at the beginning and end of the course and we’ll give you all the knowledge and skills you’ll need to practice in your own time both during and after the course. To get the most out of the course, it’s important to make sure you plan a couple of practices between course sessions

The course costs £198 and includes the 6 sessions, supporting materials, ongoing personal support and video analysis above and below the water at the start and finish of the course. We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to continue to coach yourself after the course has finished.

Teaching is delivered by Sarah Hill, a fully licensed Total Immersion Swimming Instructor in a small group of up to 6 swimmers.

To get the most out of the course it is best to attend all the sessions. I’m afraid we won’t be able to offer refunds or offer alternative sessions for any session you may miss but we will do our best to make sure you have the materials and advice needed to catch up.

This course is aimed at adult swimmers so the minimum age is 18.

This course is suitable for people who can already swim (any stroke, anyhow) and are confident with their face in the water and in the deep end of a swimming pool. If you are not yet at this stage please get in touch with us to book some one-to-one lessons.

Yes. The course is aimed at people who can already swim but want to learn front crawl. We get a range of abilities including people who cannot yet swim a whole length.

Yes. We will teach you how to be more efficient and relaxed in the water so that you swim faster and save energy. Video analysis will show you where you can improve, and we will give you all the drills and skills needed to practice in your own time.

These sessions are about learning good technique, so we do not swim lots of lengths. This means that they shouldn’t be physically tiring. However, learning something new requires focus and concentration so sometimes people find them mentally tiring!

Please bring your swimming costume or trunks (close-fitting are better), swim cap, goggles, drink and a towel.

There is plenty of car parking at the school
